Skill Gap Analysis of the Managers of Agribusiness Incubators
Review and Skill Gap Analysis for the managers in the Agribusiness incubators required by the World Bank.
Our bees work included the following duties:
- We participated in the kick-off meeting on Agriculture Community of Practice (Agro-incubators) within infoDev in Hyderabad, India. The meeting purpose was to set up the preliminary work plan and deliverables for 2011 – 2012.
- Support the content development of agribusiness training module for business incubator managers and stakeholders interested in designing a new agribusiness incubator or strengthening an existing one. This was a pilot training for managers of agro-incubators from around the world. The event took place in Helsinki, Finland.
- Conduct a skill gap analysis. After extensive desk research, we’ve developed a questionnaire tailored for managers of agro-incubators as a result. The survey contained sections of the business incubator, the experience of the manager, as well as current/desired skills (both structured and open-questions). Once created, it was our responsibility to disseminate to all agro-incubators around the world. All the gathered responses were processed via quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Wrote a report based on the research and provided vital recommendations with notices to capacity building for agribusiness incubator managers, and also about where the world bank should focus their support efforts;
