We crafted a LinkedIn outreach campaign for an engineering training company.
saVRee teaches engineering with interactive 3D models and video courses. The library holds more than 500 models that open in a browser, in AR or in VR, over 100 hours of lessons, 50 engineering handbooks and a technical encyclopedia. Since 2017 the platform has taught more than 50,000 online students, and the client list on their site includes Siemens, General Electric, the Canadian Coast Guard and the University of Nebraska Lincoln.
They sell to three groups: students and working engineers who need to understand how a piece of industrial equipment actually works, instructors who need teaching material, and companies training their own staff. The subjects run across HVAC, mechanical, marine, electrical, automobile, chemical, power, oil and gas, industrial and facilities management.
Our team worked on a dedicated basis, targeting companies in North America with more than a hundred employees. The Sales Navigator filters return more than 19 million companies there. Oil and gas was the starting industry, and the lists widened into energy, education, mining, maritime, manufacturing, renewables, wholesale, automotive, pharmaceutical and healthcare.
The titles were HR: chief HR officers, HR directors and heads of HR, who own employee development and hold the budget for it. The first ask was deliberately small. Not a sale, but a subscription to the weekly newsletter, on the logic that in technical education the relationship starts with something worth reading.
