We ran LinkedIn and Upwork outreach for a design studio in Basel, Switzerland.

Studio Gallo is Carolina Maertens Gallo’s design practice. The Swiss register lists it as Studio Gallo GmbH at Lindenberg 2a in Basel, with Carolina in management.

Two channels sat under one agreement. On LinkedIn we went after the highest general management decision-makers, starting with real estate companies and reaching into retail, healthcare, insurance, e-commerce, manufacturing, legal, education, automotive, fashion, hospitality and government. Switzerland came first, with the United Kingdom and the United States to follow. The list came to 400 prospects.

The Upwork side was a different job. We analysed the filters that decide which posted jobs are worth a bid, wrote the cover letters, and prepared the questions and answers she would face from clients, then handled the reporting on both channels. A marketplace brings clients to you and a network sends you to them, so the same positioning had to hold in two opposite situations.
